Your county assessor evaluates property values each year and will notify you of the new assessed value by mail. If you believe the new assessed value exceeds the fair market value of your home, you have an opportunity to appeal!

Petitions must be submitted by July 1st of the assessment year, or within 60 calendar days after the date listed on the assessor’s value change notice, whichever date is later.
